Rome Trip: Summer

In May 2022, the Loyola dance student traveled to Rome, Italy for a week-long study abroad program with the Mandala Dance Company (Ladispoli, Italy). Their work began in rehearsals on Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus and culminated in a final performance with the Mandala company dancers. Premiering work included “Murmuration of Starlings or Safety in Numbers” choreographed by Loyola’s Dr. Amy Wilkinson in collaboration with the dancers and an excerpt from Mandala’s company repertoire “HH_Homo Humus” choreographed by Paola Sorressa.
