Loyola Dance Program's commitment to advocacy through dance manifests in performance, education, and community engagement projects.  Our Dance program partners with Loyola's School of Environmental Sustainability to engage an international audience of climate scientists by presenting site-specific environmental themed performances at the annual Climate Change Conference.  

 

These climate-justice themed performances have sparked conference presentations, community engagements, climate film projects and other performances, most notable recently through partnership with the Hank Center for Catholic Intellectual Heritage to create "Missa Gaia," (earth mass) in performance with the University Choral conducted by Kirsten Hedegaard.
